"NHL 2023 Winnipeg Jets: Hot Seat Situation Sparks Concerns"

The THN.com Hot Seat series will wrap up during the 2023 NHL offseason with attention focused on the Winnipeg Jets. Over the past month, we've taken an in-depth look at the pressures on NHL players, coaches, general managers and team owners.

Divided alphabetically, we've identified three key players: one is under pressure to have a great new season to keep his position; the second is more stable and could face negative results; and the third is relatively stable and is expected to keep his position for a long time. Sometimes we look at four or five because they are connected in more than one category.

Winnipeg Jets situation:

Hot seat figures: team owner Mark Chipman and GM Kevin Cheveldayoff. After excelling early last season, the team slumped in the second half of the season, barely earning a playoff wildcard berth but losing to Las Vegas. The team's veteran players and fans are disgruntled and question whether Cheveldayoff is rebuilding.https://www.adidadszxfluxzone.com

Hot seat: center Mark Scheifele and goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. Will enter final year of contract, no sign of extension, could leave team. A trade may be considered before the trade deadline.

Cold bench: defenseman Josh Morris. Excellent last season, under contract for many years, and is a part of the team's future success.

Overall, the Winnipeg Jets face a major challenge this upcoming season and will need to excel on all fronts to meet team and fan expectations.
