California Governor Gavin Newsom attempted to show off his basketball skills during a recent trip to China, but the results were less than impressive. A video of Newsom playing basketball with students at the Beijing Yuying School has gone viral on social media, showing the governor dribbling the ball away from one student and plowing right into another. Both Newsom and the student hit the ground, drawing laughter and a big reaction from people offscreen.

Newsom's representative said the student was not hurt, and the governor himself seemed to be taking the incident in stride. "I got you," Newsom says with a grin after he breaks the student's fall.

Despite the mishap, Newsom's trip to China was generally successful. He met with Chinese leader Xi Jinping and discussed ways to accelerate progress on climate change. Newsom also encouraged Xi to attend next month's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in San Francisco.
